Patient Grooming. Beautiful Results.
Quality-focused grooming from an experienced team that makes time for breaks, comfort, and the individual dog.
A Different Kind of Grooming Experience
Paw Retreat is not built around rushing as many dogs as possible through the salon. Our groomers work at a thoughtful pace, schedule fewer dogs than many high-volume shops, and focus on quality over quantity.
That approach gives us more room to respond to the pet in front of us. Some dogs are comfortable moving through the process quickly. Others need a pause, a slower introduction, or time to decompress between steps.
We want dogs to leave looking great — and feeling as positive about the experience as possible.
Mostly Cage-Free Care
Most grooming guests wait in the daycare room or relax in a private suite while they are not actively being groomed. This reduces unnecessary kennel time for dogs who are comfortable with those options.
A holding kennel may still be used when it is the safest or most appropriate choice for a particular dog. Our team considers temperament, behavior, physical needs, and the salon environment when deciding where a guest should wait.
What Is Included in a Full Groom?
A standard full groom includes:

Shampoo using one of our premium products

Conditioner

Blow dry

Nail grind

The cut and style selected for your dog

Finishing perfume when appropriate
Additional charges may apply for extensive de-matting or special handling needs. The groomer can discuss coat condition, realistic results, and any concerns before proceeding.
An Experienced, Creative Team
Our grooming team brings experience with a wide variety of breeds, coats, styles, ages, and personalities. They also understand that technical skill is only one part of a successful appointment.
Patience, observation, safe handling, and communication matter just as much. We encourage pet parents to share previous grooming experiences, sensitivities, medical limitations, and the style they hope to achieve.
How Long Will the Appointment Take?
Grooming time varies by breed, size, coat type, coat condition, temperament, requested service, and the groomer’s schedule.
Because we build in time for careful work and appropriate breaks, we do not promise the same completion time for every dog. Our team will provide the best estimate available and contact you when your pet is ready.
Appointments Are Required
All grooming services, including nail grinds, are by appointment. Our schedule can fill quickly, so advance booking is recommended.
Submit an appointment request online. A team member will call to confirm the requested service, availability, and important details. The appointment is not final until it has been confirmed.
Before the Groom
Help us create a smoother visit by telling us about:
- The cut or style you want
- Matting, skin issues, allergies, or sensitivities
- Previous grooming experiences
- Areas your dog dislikes having touched
- Health or mobility concerns
- Any history of fear, reactivity, or biting
Why it matters
Accurate information helps the groomer plan a safer, more comfortable appointment.
Nothing you tell us gets a dog “in trouble”. It shapes how the appointment is handled, from the order of steps to how many breaks we build in.
Book Their Next Groom
Give us a little information about your dog and the service you need. We will contact you to confirm availability.
