The doggie splash pad is a summer favorite for cooling off.

Reviews from Salado Pet Owners
Bell County families trust us with the pets they love most. We don't take that lightly.
“Best Groomers around! They take phenomenal care of my doodles. Always so welcoming when we arrive. Their appointment process is super easy and convenient! The reminders are helpful as well! Love the staff here! They really care about your animals while they are there and it shows!”
“Highly recommend! Jax is incredibly special to our family and it is hard for me to trust anyone to take care of him however The Dog Spot has earned our business. We will definitely be back with our boy! Pics below are him during his stay. Happy dog!”
“Shiloh attends the dog daycare and is groomed at The Dog Spot. He thoroughly loves this place and the people. I can hardly control him due to his excitement to get in the door. That tells me all I need to know ~ he is cared for, and loved, and has so much fun! Thank you all!”
“We took our Standard Poodle puppy here for his very first groom and despite his anxiety and restlessness, staff was reassuring and worked gently and patiently with him. Lena went above and beyond to give him the cut we wanted (even the mullet my husband requested) and we could not be more satisfied. Definitely found us our regular groomer. Thank you to all the kind staff!”
“This was my first time bringing my dog, Marley, here, and I’m seriously blown away. I’ve been trying to find a good groomer for a while, and this was by far the best experience we’ve ever had. Marley’s cut looks perfect - honestly the best she’s ever had - and she came out so happy and relaxed. You can tell they really care about the dogs they groom. I finally found our go-to groomer!”
“3 dogs bathed/groomed. Nice folks. Well here it is beginning December took the dogs back just to get their nails done. This must be the second or third time I’ve taken him back just for their nails. Just a typical maintenance thing. The girls said they were all good this time around. That stated, we were in and out in Around 15 minutes with all three. Made the appointment a couple days ago. As usual the staff was accommodating and kind.”
“We have been taking our Mini-Aussie here for about a month now and we love this business. Very convenient location off of I-35 next to Johnny’s in Salado. The kennels are clean and bright. The staff is pleasant and helpful. So far we’ve used the play dates with other pups and our dog loves them. She is in with other small to medium sized dogs and comes home worn out from play. She has stayed overnight once and seems to enjoy the suite with the personal outdoor yard. As long as she enjoys The Dog Spot we’ll be regular customers.”
“My dog Reese a cocker spaniel has high fear at the groomers. Here they have alot of patience and care. They (Lana) did an amazing job on Reese!! We will be bringing both dogs here. Love them!! Would like to say thanks from us and Reese!!! ♡ He came home looking like a Show dog my husband said lol!!! 😁 update: We took our corgi Tinsel Lana groomed her like a show dog!! She brushed most of Tinsels tarter off her teeth, which is amazing because Tinsel smiles so much!! Thanks so much for the loving care you have given to both dogs!! ♡♡♡♡♡ A million million stars to ya!! ♡♡♡”

What vaccinations does my dog need for boarding and daycare?
Dogs must be current on Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper/Parvo. Cats must be current on Rabies and FVRCP. Daycare dogs also complete a temperament test, and male dogs over six months must be neutered. If you are unsure what your pet needs, give us a call.
Do boarding dogs get outside and playtime?
Absolutely. Every boarding guest gets a minimum of 4 playtimes a day, scheduled around their personality, such as group play for social dogs and quiet private play for those who prefer it.
Is your grooming really cage-free?
Nearly all of our grooming is cage-free. In rare cases — dogs that pose a safety risk to themselves or others — we use a kennel between steps, but that's the exception, not the norm.
Do you board cats?
We do! Our dedicated cattery offers quiet, comfortable cat condos in a calm, climate-controlled space separate from the dogs.
Can I tour the facility before booking?
We are working on a virtual tour so you can see every part of the facility from home. We will share the details once it is ready. In-person visits are kept brief so we do not unsettle the dogs in our care, so the virtual tour will be the best way to look around.
